The Seoul Design Foundation finalized a strategic memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.

The Seoul Design Foundation finalized a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee on March 29, and announced it would develop Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), utilizing the image of members of the Korean national team participating in Hangzhou Asian Games held in September this year.

In conformity with the MoU, the Seoul Design Foundation will utilize its designers’ network to create differentiated designs to enhance the artistry required in Sports NFTs and advance the NFT project utilizing the images of athletes on the national team participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The limited edition NFTs featuring Korean athletes of the national team are expected to be introduced ahead of the opening of the Hangzhou Asian Games in September, with on and offline exhibitions held during this period.

The Seoul Design Foundation plans to solidify its role as a guide and bridgehead for designers to wield their potential and possibilities in this new field and continuously discover the drivers to launch digital projects related to NFTs and metaverse, let alone the design industry in Seoul.
